Soooo…. it’s been a whole week since the packed-out launch of IMUK’s 6-part series From Neurodiversity to Neuroinclusion ( A whole week! We can't believe it either!).
Anyway, last week’s shenanigans got us all fired up and already excited for our next event in October!

October is still a little way off, so in the meantime, we wanted to share more about IMUK with you through a short series of blogs.
These will explore our "why" and highlight how it will align with and support your "why"!
Starting with our Mission and The IMUK Code!

It’s pretty simple really!

So let's talk our first why!
Why Neuroinclusion?
Well:
That’s our jam
The word neurodiversity seems to be getting all the air time (often not in the right context but that's a topic. for another day! 😂) but neuroinclusion still doesn't appear to have even got into the charts! So let’s change that and get it straight in at number 1 where it should be!
What is it?
Neuroinclusion (noun): To recognise neurodiversity and adapt practices and processes to suit the needs of people who are neurodivergent.
WRONG!
Even the dictionary is getting it wrong!
It’s not about any particular neurotype at all… it’s about all of us!
What that should read is:
Neuroinclusion (noun): The act of recognising and accepting that neurodiversity is a natural part of humanity, and taking proactive steps to embrace and harness different styles of processing information, learning, and communicating for all, through a positive and strengths-focused lens.
The IMUK Dictionary
A bit wordier we know, but true nonetheless!
Neuroinclusion is not just a fancy term anymore or the latest new trend in business; it's the secret sauce that forward-thinking enterprises are pouring over their operations.
Why?
Because they’ve recognised that neurodiversity isn’t a choice and that Diversity, Equity, Belonging, and Inclusion are more than just box-ticking exercises—they’re about putting the human back into humanity!
Neuroinclusion is about reaching your entire market, engaging your full audience, and attracting unique talents and perspectives that can genuinely supercharge and retain your teams.
Ultimately, neuroinclusion is the vehicle that drives organisations towards the promised lands of growth, sustainability, and innovation!
And what organisation doesn't want that?!
The IMUK Code
We all have those guiding principles that make us who we are right?
Here at Inclusive Minds UK (IMUK), we're no different.
But instead of dusty old mottos on the wall, our core values are the fuel that fires our passion!

Forget fancy jargon and empty promises.

Empathy isn't some word or trend for us – it's what makes us who we are!
We understand that everyone's journey is unique to them, and that's what makes it so incredible.
To paraphrase the Queen that is Beyonce we listen to you when your at that crossroads!
Dont get us wrong we can talk the hind legs off a donkey too, but listening is what comes first for us in every interaction.
We don't just listen to respond; we listen to understand.
We are coiled springs always ready to listen, learn and spring into action!
Through this deep listening, we build relationships based on empathy, curiosity, trust, and mutual respect.
Respect? You Got It. Dignity? Absolutely.
Respect and dignity go together like fish and chips – an essential and iconic combination.
Here at IMUK, we treat everyone with the utmost respect, and upholding the dignity of each individual is non-negotiable.
It's that simple!
Collaboration is Our Jam (Seriously!)
We're firm believers that teamwork makes the dream work! Sounds Cheesier than a room full of brie, we know... but its still true! A ethos embedded deep into the fibres of our being probably thanks to the experiences from our past lives in the military.
Collaboration is what really sets us apart – we love bringing together clients, participants, and our amazing team to create, innovate and empower.

Empowerment is at the heart of IMUK.
Yes, we give you the tools and resources you need to be your own champion, but we also stand beside you as your biggest advocate.

At IMUK, we like to keep things interesting.

Let's just say, flexibility is practically our middle name (okay, not really, but you get the idea!).

Plus due to our own flavour of neurodistinction we would forget what fibs we told you and drop ourselves in it anyway so its just not worth it! haha

(We don't actually have any warts by the way just thought we would clarify that in case you expect to see one hanging off the end of our noses and get disappointed when you don't! It's just a turn of phrase!)
