Inclusivity Statement

Neuro-difference

in

Transition

A research-led campaign by

Inclusive Minds UK

Real inclusion isn’t quiet, neutral, or for show.

We say the thing, back it up and build for every brain.

We’re not here to fix people. We’re here to fix the systems that leave people behind.

At Inclusive Minds UK, inclusion isn’t a side dish. It’s the whole plate.

We say it as we see it: Too much of what gets called “inclusive practice” is performative, inaccessible, and built around comfort instead of courage.

We do it differently.

We centre neuroinclusion because you can’t talk equity without talking brains.

We challenge the policies, assumptions, and gatekeeping that make people shrink to fit in.

We build spaces where people can stop pretending and actually show up... messy, brilliant, human.

We work with workplaces, communities, organisations and individuals who are done with ticking boxes and ready to actually change the game.

No beating around the bush, no false pretences. No empty statements.

Just real tools, lived experience, and bold, honest support.

Because inclusion that excludes neurodifference, trauma, or identity isn’t inclusion. It’s image management.

If you’re ready to move beyond that, welcome in.

What We Stand For

We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported—without needing to justify their existence.

That means we don’t just talk about inclusion, we live it. Loudly.

We actively support the rights of all people, including our LGBTQIA+ and trans community, Black and global majority communities, disabled and neurodifferent people, and those often pushed to the edges.

If that makes you uncomfortable... this probably isn’t the space for you.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for hate, discrimination, or exclusion of any kind. If you can’t show up with respect for others, don’t show up at all.

Because real inclusion means no mind left behind.

We’re not here to make anyone smaller so others can feel more comfortable. We’re here to build something better, together.

Accessibility Commitments

Inclusion without accessibility is just fake news.

We’re committed to making our spaces, services, and experiences usable and accessible—without people having to jump through hoops.

Here’s what that looks like:

Plain text documents available for all resources, with large print and audio versions on request

Live captions for all online sessions and events

Neuroaffirming facilitation, including pacing breaks, content warnings, and support for regulation needs

Sensory-aware environments at in-person events, with quiet spaces and stim-friendly options

Clear communication—we ask for preferred names, pronouns, and access needs as standard

Step-free access and advance venue guides for all in-person locations

WhatsApp support as an alternative to email for those who need more flexible communication

If you need something specific, ask. We’ll always try to say yes.

Holding Ourselves Accountable

We don’t claim to be perfect. We’re always learning, unlearning, and updating our practice.

We work with consultants and collaborators from a range of lived experiences and regularly audit our work for bias, access gaps, and impact.

Feedback is not just welcome—it’s encouraged. And it won’t just be filed away. We’ll act on it.
